Stephen “tWitch” Boss has died from suicide at age 40.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I genuinely have to part my husband Stephen has left us,” Boss’ wife, Allison Holker Boss, 34, confirms exclusively in a direct to PEOPLE. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, buddies and neighborhood above all else and main with cherish and light used to be every part to him. He used to be the backbone of our family, primarily the most absorbing husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

“To claim he left a legacy would be an underestimation, and his distinct impact will continue to be felt,” she persevered. “I’m sure there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory.
